Ice cooling fan buyer FAQ

Short answers for initial sourcing. Exact model specifications, commercial terms and document coverage require current written confirmation.

What is an ice cooling fan?

An ice cooling fan is a personal cooling device that combines airflow with a powered cooling plate. Product performance depends on the cooling module, hot-side heat dissipation, airflow system, controls, battery and test conditions.

Can buyers approve a sample before production?

A project can include sample review and a written golden-sample approval before production. Availability, cost and timing depend on the selected configuration and must be confirmed in writing.

How should performance be compared?

Compare identified samples under the same ambient temperature, humidity, operating mode, distance, battery state and measurement method. Record cooling-plate temperature, airflow or air speed, noise, input power and runtime separately.

Does a certificate apply to every model?

No. Buyers should verify the report or certificate holder, product name, model list, standard, issue date and configuration. A document for one model must not be assumed to cover every product family.

What information is needed for an OEM/ODM quotation?

Provide the intended application, form factor, target market, quantity, required functions, preferred battery and charging method, branding, packaging, document needs and target schedule.

What is the difference between airflow and cooling-plate temperature?

Airflow describes moving air; cooling-plate temperature describes a contact surface. They are different outputs and must be tested separately. A colder plate does not automatically mean stronger airflow or longer runtime.

What are the main condensation questions?

Ask how the product controls plate temperature, how water is kept away from electronics, which surfaces touch skin, and how the design was evaluated across expected humidity and use conditions.

What should be approved before mass production?

Approve the identified sample, specification, appearance, labeling, packaging, critical components, inspection plan and current applicable documents. Keep the approved version and change-control process in writing.
